Only stopped for coffee and cake. Lots of character, friendly service and above average selection of gluten free cakes, a bonus for my wife who is coeliac. A pleasant place to sit and chat. NB no credit accepted, but this was true for several shops here. Of course it does cost small businesses to take credit cards, so completely understand and happy to pay cash.

Came here for a spot of lunch a few weeks ago while the other half and I were in the area. We had a lovely lunch and the coffee was great too. We sadly didn't have room for pudding but the glass cake cabinet at the till definitely caught my eye.

There today on a bike ride. Staff were fabulous. The premises has character. And the food...oh the food. Genuinely the most enjoyable sandwich and chips I can ever remember. Absolutely fresh, delicious and probably the best chips I have ever eaten. 10/10. Absolutely recommended. Worth a journey just to nibble on their morsels.

Lovely lunch. Good to have one side side of the menu vegan as we are vegetarian, so plenty of choice. The loaded fries with vegetables and cheese on top with side salad and homemade coleslaw was delicious and filling. My husband said his mushroom and stilton soup was very good too. Good sized portions. Nice sitting in the window seat in the warmth of the spring sunshine. They are cash only. There are easy to see signs saying this before you go in.
